  • direct effect of metabolic diseases (hyperlipidemia and diabetes) on cardioprotection
  • NO-cGMP-PKG signaling, and peroxynitrie-matrix metalloproteinase signalling
  • cardioprotection by new mechanisms: biglycan, microRNA-s
  • in vivo animal models for cardioprotection
