The position of a postdoctoral researcher (m/f) is available in the Pole of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Institute for Experimental and Clinical Research, Université Catholique de Louvain, Brussels. The position focuses on the signaling of cardiovascular remodeling. A major part of the project will be to dissect the role of cardiac beta3-adrenergic receptors and nitric oxide synthase in metabolic remodeling of the stressed myocardium.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Biology/Biochemistry (or an equivalent scientific degree), be highly motivated, independent and senior enough to organise the work of technicians and biological or medical doctorates and integrate themselves into a team. An excellent background in cardiovascular and molecular biology and experimental animal work are required, as is fluently spoken English.
The candidate will work in a very international and highly motivated, well-financed surrounding with most modern equipment. The position is initially limited for 2 years and payment is approx. 33,000 euros per annum but prolongation (after evaluation) is possible.
